FAQ

  • The Velospot system is available to people aged 16 and over with parental permission required for people under 18.
  • Subscriptions can only be purchased by persons over the age of 18 (see Terms and Conditions).
  • The bike lock can be unlocked using PubliBike Velospot App or Swisspass.

  • A ride is considered complete when the bike has been returned to the station and locked at the station.
  • As soon as the red clasp has been manually lowered, two short beeps confirm that the bike is locked.
  • A push/mail alert confirms the end of the rental. For more details on how to open and lock the bike or download the Velospot application, see the "How it works" section.
  • Yes, a bike can be locked out of a station at any time. In this case, the bike rental will continue until it is returned and locked at the station.
  • If a bike is locked out of a station, only the card or code of the user who made the rental can reopen the bike.
  • Locking out of the station is confirmed by a red flash and a long beep at the lock.
  • Although the maintenance service aims to keep the fleet in the best possible condition for use, bicycles may be damaged.
  • It is the user's responsibility to check the condition of the bike and its proper operation (brakes, dynamo, lights, etc.) before use.
  • In case of detected damage or malfunction, the bike must not be rented and Intermobility SA must be informed immediately of any damage (031 557 50 90, or via the app).
  • The access is not transferable. It must never be passed on to third parties. The holder of code is solely responsible for any damage.
  • First check that the lock responds after pressing the white power button on the top right of the lock. The lock should flash blue.
  • If the lock is flashing red and beeping after you place your card or enter your code, check your shopping status to make sure you have not already rented another bike and that your account still has a positive balance.
  • Also, make sure you have entered the correct code.
  • If the problem occurs after opening with your card or code (2 green flashes with 2 beeps) and a continuous beep accompanied by a white flash, check that the metal locking ring is not blocked by one of the bike's spokes.
  • In case of other problems, please contact the hotline at 031 557 50 90.

  • If the red clasp can only be lowered halfway, check that the metal ring is not blocked by a bicycle spoke.

  • As a reminder: during a ride, the customer is responsible for the bike. Therefore, before registering, it is necessary to take out third party liability insurance or equivalent insurance in accordance with the general terms and conditions of use.
  • In the event of property damage, please fill out the appropriate form to make an accident report. In the event of personal injury, call the police and/or the appropriate emergency service.
  • Any accident involving a Velospot bicycle must be reported immediately to PubliBike AG on 031 557 50 90.
  • In accordance with the general conditions of use, you are covered by your own liability insurance or an equivalent insurance for the duration of the rental.
  • As a reminder: during a ride, the customer is responsible for the bike. To this end, before registering, it is necessary to take out third party liability insurance or equivalent insurance in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Use.
  • In case of theft or loss of the bike, Intermobility SA must be informed immediately on the following number: 032 557 50 90.
